Graham Chapel Information and Policies
Event Management
- Clients must submit their room setup requirements in writing to Event Services at least two weeks prior to event date via e-mail, fax or by using the online Room Setup Form. Please see the Event Service Reservation Policies for more information.
- Event Services will generate Event Information Sheets for each event and will act as liaison between client and all service providers.
Capacity Crowds
- Please notify Event Services if you expect a capacity crowd at your event. Due to Fire Code, attendees may not stand on the stairs, side aisles or back of the Chapel during an event. Event Services will work with you to maximize the pew seating and can assist you with staffing and signage for such events.
- For events likely to exceed the seating capacity, Event Services can work with you to provide an overflow location with a video simulcast of the event.
Housekeeping Services
- Housekeeping is the exclusive provider of setup, teardown and cleaning services. Clients are responsible for all setup, cleaning and teardown charges from Housekeeping. Clients must present Housekeeping with a purchase order number for billing purposes no later than one week prior to the event. Housekeeping will invoice clients directly for services rendered. - Only Housekeeping may move furniture within the Chapel, and furniture may not be removed from the Chapel.
- The pews may not be moved or stacked. Unauthorized movement of pews could result in a group being banned from future use of the Chapel and additional damage charges.
- For events requiring one or two microphones, Housekeeping will set-up the microphones, set the volume and store them when the program ends.
- For events requiring more than two microphones, please refer to section “Audio-Visual Companies” below.
Audio-Visual Services
- For events requiring more than two microphones, an outside contractor must be used. Event Services can provide a list of approved contractors.
- Due to space and power limitations, theatrical lighting must be approved by Event Services at least four weeks prior to the event. Only ground-supported lighting will be considered and will be approved only on a limited basis. The client is responsible for any additional charges for power.
- All audio-visual equipment and work must be completed within the reservation period. No equipment may be left or stored in the Chapel.
Rental Furnishing and Equipment
- Due to space limitations and multiple daily events, all rental furnishings, equipment and props must be approved by Event Services at least three weeks prior to the event.
- All rental furniture and props must have protective coverings on legs to prevent floor damage.
- All rental furniture, equipment and props must be delivered and removed from the Chapel during the reservation period.
Furnishing and Equipment
- The maximum seating capacity is 785 people. There are 27 rows of pews on the floor that seat a maximum of 589 people. The balcony consists of 196 fixed seats.
- The inventory of stage furniture is as follows.
- 1 large podium with microphone and locking casters
- 1 pedestal podium with microphone and locking casters
- 1 pedestal podium with locking casters
- 1 large chair with high back
- 4 large chairs with low back
- 2 portable kneelers
- 6 modesty panels
- 2 small tables, coffee table height
- 2 small tables, desk height
- 25 stacking padded chairs
- 5 chair caddies
- The inventory of sound equipment is as follows.
- 2 podium microphones (both attached to podiums)
- 2 wireless lapel microphones
- 2 hand-held microphones
- 1 compact disc player
- 1 audiotape player with recording capabilities
Miscellaneous Policies
- Food and beverages are strictly prohibited anywhere inside the Chapel. It is the responsibility of the group or person booking this space to enforce this.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited.
- Clients will be held responsible for any damages related to their event.
- Nothing may be affixed to walls, windows, wood surfaces, or furniture.
- Only assist animals are allowed in the Chapel.
- Open flames such as candles are only allowed on the stage in candelabras.
- Event Services reserves the right to prohibit clients, attendees and other contractors from booking or servicing the Chapel if these guidelines are violated.
Room Access
Graham Chapel will automatically unlock at the beginning of the reservation period and lock immediately after the reservation period is concluded.'
